Welcome to Monday everyone!
Have you seen the Fall 2012 Zac Posen collection? Well, if you haven't you are in store for a real treat. I feel that he has truly out done himself with this collection. Very structural as well as sculptural and yet all the pieces have the most feminine air. I've pulled out a few of my favorites, I have a lot as you'll see and I've included a video at the end. The video is about 10 minutes, so you may want to save it and come back later. I love seeing the clothes move.
Enjoy!
Beautiful! That red dress. WOW. I often hear celebrities say they are wearing Zac Posen on the red carpet and I can see why.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I would give up sewing if I could wear his clothes all the time!! That red dress is beyond incredible.
DeleteAbsolutely smitten by the black and gold tailored dress.
ReplyDeleteI love every piece so much that I just can't choose a favorite.
DeleteVery architectural. My fave is the rose, number 4. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteHey Bunny, I think you're talking about the rose dress. It is a stunner. As I said to Gail, I just can't choose a favorite. I love them all.
DeleteWow, that's some inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a head full of eye candy! As I looked through the still photos, I was thinking architectural. When I watched the video and saw how much movement there was, I was surprised. I would think it would be difficult to design sculptural garments that have so much flow to them. At first glance, the flounces, tucks and folds appear static. But walking changes all of that. So cool.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you noticed the "tablecloth skirt corners" in the gold gown - the second one you posted. I liked the Asian influence, but I found the huge obis to be distracting, and I'm not sure what their purpose was.
I love the rich colors of this collection, and my favorite piece is the red gown, the last photo you posted. Simply divine!
I bet you will be teaching us some of those sleeves soon.
ReplyDeleteOh my, you know me all too well. I actually went to sleep last night thinking about how to draft a couple of them.
DeleteZac Posen's collection is just stunning. Thank you for sharing. I got a chance to see his work up close and personal a couple of years ago at the Art Museum in Philadelphia. There was a small exhibit of well known designers and his dress stood out to me. This collection reminds me a little of the Italian Designer Roberto Capucci.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Got me thinking yet again - why is it that the clothes that I love have no place in my life life? Not fair.
